Abstract:
We document positive effects of the "Doolexia" intervention on spelling (0.60 SD) and reading (0.30 SD) in dyslexic students, with lasting effects after six months. Doolexia is a 16-week structured school program combining daily computer-based training with weekly sessions led by school reading counselors. The program utilizes an intelligent, adaptive algorithm and fast-paced technology, providing personalized training for each student, grounded in neurobiological theory.
The impact was assessed using a RCT in 29 schools, involving over 500 students in grades 4-8 who scored "red" or "yellow" on the national dyslexia test. Students were assessed at baseline, post, and after six months using Hogrefe tests.
This is work-in-progress. Future analysis will explore program usage data, implementation surveys, and long-term effects on register-based outcomes. We welcome feedback and suggestions.
